Doctrine

1. We believe in the existence of a Triune God in the person of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that all three are co-existent, co-equal, and co-eternal. We believe that there is only one God, and that there is no other God beside Him.

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

I John 5:7 - For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

2. We believe in the infallible, plenary, verbal inspiration of the Word of God. We believe that Godís Word is found in its entirety within the sixty-six books of the Bible. We further believe that Godís Word has been preserved in the English language through the King James 1611 version of the Bible as it was translated from the Textus Receptus.

II Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

3. We believe in the Genesis account of Creation by definition. The Genesis account is the creation of the material universe, spoken into existence by God in six consecutive, literal twenty-four hour periods, and followed by a (24 hour) day of rest.

Genesis 1, 2

4. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, thereby yielding a perfect Savior. We believe that Mary was used as a vessel by God as the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus Christ within her.

Matthew 1:20-23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

5. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Living Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We believe that Christ was one hundred percent God, while simultaneously being one hundred percent man.

John1:14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

6. We believe that mankind is born in sin, without hope of self redemption. We believe that because all have sinned, everyone falls short of the glory necessary for eternal life.

Romans 3:10, 23 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

7. We believe that Christís crucifixion, suffering, and death were both vicarious and substitutionary for the sins of all people born from creation to the end of the age preceding Godís final judgment. We believe that individual salvation is by the grace of God alone through faith for all who will accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior. We believe that genuine acknowledgment of sin, personal repentance, a realization of Christís atoning work, and faith in Him as Savior are the elements involved in Godís plan of salvation for all people.

II Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Ephesians 2: 8,9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

8. We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. We believe that Heaven is the place where the Savior has gone in glory to prepare a place for the believer in His Fatherís House. We believe that Hell is the place of eternal punishment for the unbeliever, for Satan, and for all those who chose to follow Satan when he rebelled against God in Heaven.

John 14:1-6 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Revelation 20: 10, 14-15 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

9. We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. We also believe in the pre-tribulational, pre-millennial, and bodily resurrection of His saints.

Acts 1:9-11 - And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

John 20:1-18

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

10. We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ which will occur after the literal seven year tribulation period. We believe that it will be personal and bodily in order to establish His earthly millennial reign.

Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

11. We believe in the individual priesthood of the believer. We believe that all born-again believers are subject to the Great High Priest, Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

12. We believe that the church was instituted by Jesus Christ according to His divine will, authority, and purpose. We believe that the church has been given authority to carry out the Gospel. We believe that the church is to be made up of autonomous groups of born again and baptized believers for the sake of evangelizing the world, and for the education, equipping, and edification of the saints.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 18:15-20 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell [it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Matthew 28:19 and 20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

13. We believe that the Lord has given the church two ordinances to be carried out. The first ordinance is the baptism of genuinely born-again believers through immersion. The second ordinance is the observance of the Lordís Supper, or Communion, in commemoration of Christís broken body and shed blood. We believe that neither ordinance provides any supplementation to the salvation of our souls, but are both important in their symbolism of our relationship to Christ.

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Matthew 26:26-28 - And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

14. We believe that any modern Pentecostal or charismatic movement in which signs and wonders such as tongues and healings are claimed to be manifest is contradictory to Biblical teaching. We reject any such beliefs, teachings, and practices within this local body of believers.

I Corinthians 13

15. We believe that any extreme doctrinal positions on divine election such as those held by followers of Calvinism do not properly balance the Biblical teachings of Godís sovereignty with mankind's accountability.

I Timothy 2:4-5 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

16. We believe in the Biblical commands regarding holiness for the individual believer. We believe that everyone claiming Christ as personal Savior bears the responsibility to fulfill the Lordís desire regarding sanctified living according to the teachings of Godís Word and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:20-24 But ye have not so learned Christ, If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

17. We believe in the eternal security of the individual born-again Christian. We believe that Christís atoning work can not be challenged or nullified by human works. We believe that His genuine work of salvation within the heart of any individual fully and permanently saves us from the eternal wrath of God.

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
